My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Joannie — a sweet, playful girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart.

Born in Spring 2021, Joannie has already been through more than her fair share of change. She and her sister were found abandoned at an apartment complex as adolescent cats. After being adopted into a home, Joannie was heartbreakingly left outside our shelter doorstep to fend for herself. Despite everything, she has remained incredibly loving and trusting with people.

Joannie is the kind of cat who makes a house feel like home. She’ll greet you at the door like you’ve been gone for years, happily curl up in your lap for cuddles, and spend her afternoons birdwatching from a sunny window. She’s curious, playful, affectionate, and loves being close to her humans.

Joannie would do best as the only pet in the home. She prefers having all the attention to herself and can be a bit of a bully with other animals. We haven’t had the chance to see how she does with dogs or children, but she has been very friendly with every adult while in our care.
