My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mojo, the lovable and sociable feline who has captured the hearts of everyone he meets. With a gentle personality and a knack for making friends, Mojo is a true people cat. His best friend and lifelong companion is Lily, his bonded buddy, and the two are often seen hanging out, sharing cozy naps, or simply enjoying each other's company.

Known affectionately as "Puppy Cat," Mojo is often found following his person around the house, his little tail wagging in excitement as he snuggles up on the couch for some quality cuddle time. This sweet boy is always up for some affection, and if you’re sitting still long enough, you can bet Mojo will be right there, nestled next to you, soaking in all the pets.

One of Mojo's favorite activities is sunbathing, especially by a window where the warm sunlight pours in. You’ll often find him curled up, eyes half-closed in bliss, just soaking up the peaceful energy of the day. Despite his love for relaxation, Mojo has a moderate interest in playtime, though he prefers a more chill approach. He enjoys hunting for hidden treats, making him the perfect little scavenger. You can hide a treat in a room, and Mojo will diligently track it down like a little kitty detective on a mission.

Brushing is another one of Mojo’s favorite pastimes. He’ll happily purr away as his person gently combs through his soft fur, making grooming time an absolute joy for both him and his human.

With his friendly, easygoing demeanor, Mojo is the ultimate companion for anyone looking for a calm, affectionate kitty to brighten up their home. Whether he’s lounging in the sun, following you around like a shadow, or enjoying a good brushing session, Mojo is always ready to spread love and happiness.

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lily: A Journey from Stray to Sweetheart

Part of a bonded pair that must be adopted together (also see Mojo profile). Lily’s story is one of resilience and trust. For most of her life, she was an outdoor stray, roaming the world on her own terms. Yet, despite her independent nature, there was always a special bond between her and her partner cat, Mojo. Every night, while she roamed freely outside, Lily would come inside to sleep with Mojo, sharing warmth and comfort during the quiet hours.

About three months ago, Lily made the big leap to being an indoor-only cat. This change has been a big adjustment for her, as she must now be carefully monitored around open doors and windows. The great outdoors, which once offered her a sense of freedom, is now a reminder of a life she left behind—one she still occasionally dreams of. But within the safety of her new home, she is learning to trust her surroundings and the people around her.

Though Lily is shy by nature, once she warms up, she becomes incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves being petted and enjoys spending time with the other cats in the shelter, especially Mojo. The two share an inseparable bond, spending much of their time curled up together, napping peacefully or playfully chasing each other around when no one is looking.

Lily is apprehensive of people and prefers to keep to herself, hiding under the bed when someone enters the room. However, once she knows that you're stationary and calm, she’ll come out of hiding to eat, use the litterbox, and scratch her cat post; these simple, quiet activities help her feel grounded. She is most active during the day when the humans are away, exploring at her own pace in a world of peaceful solitude.

While Lily’s journey to becoming an indoor cat has been slow, she has made significant progress. She still has a long way to go in terms of overcoming her initial shyness, but with time and patience, she continues to grow more comfortable. Her love for Mojo, her need for quiet moments, and her desire for gentle affection make her a beautiful soul waiting for the right person to bring her fully into the fold. Until then, Lily will continue to nap, play, and explore life with the grace and care that only a cat like her can bring.
